A question that inevitably arises when planning with a couple is when should the date be to have guests RSVP by? It is best to allow ample time for the people in charge of this detail to have plenty of time to sort through the responses to figure out the final count and table configurations. We have clients give us a final count three weeks before the wedding, so it is advisable for the response date to be 5-6 weeks before the wedding date in order for this to happen. Being able to sort through and make adjustments to table assignments as cards come in also allows leeway to change the size of tables or to add or cancel tables as needed. This allows more time to be spent on the visible details, such as the presentation of the seating chart itself.
